Olive-Harvey College, part of the City Colleges of Chicago system, is the only community college in Chicago offering CDL training through its Transportation, Distribution and Logistics Center of Excellence. In partnership with the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Commercial Driver Training program prepares students with little or no experience for entry-level commercial motor vehicle positions. The Career Bridge Program offers tuition-free pathways while helping students improve basic skills and earn industry certificates. Students can complete the program in 1-2 semesters with credentials leading to CDL-B positions earning $16-$20/hour.
